Purpose
In the Form Schema page, the New Repeatable Form Section allows users to add customizable and repeatable sections within a form. This feature makes it easy to tailor forms to collect specific batches of information consistently and efficiently.
What can you do with it?
The New Repeatable Form Section empowers you to create multiple, identical sections within a form, facilitating the capture of repeated sets of information. This function is essential for maintaining consistent data entry and supports the collection of comparable data sets.
How is it done?
Navigate to the Form Schema: Begin by accessing the Form Schema page where you can modify your form's structure.
Label Your Section: Enter a Label for your repeatable form section. This serves as an identifier for easy reference.
Add a Description: Use the Description field to provide additional context about the section, enhancing user understanding.
Include an Info Icon: Optional but helpful, add an Info Icon with pertinent details to boost usability.
Set Section Requirements:
Minimum Number of Sections: Check the relevant checkbox to enforce a minimum number of sections. Input the desired numerical value in the Numeric Field to specify this minimum.
Maximum Number of Sections: Similarly, use the checkbox and Numeric Field to limit the maximum number of sections, preventing excessive entries.
Configure Repeatable Form Elements: Access the Form Editor to define the specific elements that will appear within each repeatable section.
Define Required Fields: Choose fields that must be completed for each section using the Data Select of Required Fields.
Set Conditional Visibility: Use the Data Select of Conditionals to establish criteria that determine when the section should appear based on other form interactions.
Important Considerations
Ensure that the Label, Description, and Info Icon are clear and descriptive to minimize user misunderstanding.
Carefully choose and enforce minimum and maximum section limits to maintain the balance between comprehensiveness and usability.
Best Practices
Plan your form layout in advance to ensure a logical and efficient design.
Regularly review and update your conditionals and required fields to reflect any changes in data requirements or workflows.
Test the form with potential users to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments for clarity and completeness.
