Purpose

In the Form Schema page, you can effortlessly release or unrelease a Form Schema, allowing users to control when a form schema becomes available for generating records.

What can you do with it?

The goal of using Release/Unrelease Form Schema is to determine when a specific form schema is available for use. This functionality empowers users to either make a form schema actionable or pause its use, offering flexibility for updates and custom workflows.

How is it done?

  1. Navigate to the Form Schema Page Begin by locating the Form Schema page within the Quality module.

  2. Select the Desired Form Schema Identify and select the form schema you wish to manage.

  3. Choose Release/Unrelease Option Find the Release/Unrelease button provided for the selected form schema.

  4. Click the Button To make the form schema available for use, click Release. If you wish to halt its use temporarily, select Unrelease instead.

By releasing a form schema, users can generate records based on its current structure, whereas unreleasing it suspends that ability until further updates or checks are made.

Important Considerations

  • Double-check Before Releasing: Ensure all fields and rules are finalized before releasing a form schema to prevent errors in generated records.

  • Understand the Impact: Releasing a form schema makes it available to all permitted users, while unreleasing will halt its use entirely.

Best Practices

  • Test Thoroughly: Conduct comprehensive tests on any form schema before release to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Communicate Clearly: Inform relevant teams when significant changes occur, like a release or unrelease, to streamline operational workflows and avoid miscommunication.

  • Regular Reviews: Periodically review active form schemas to confirm they remain up-to-date and align with your organization's processes.
