What Is Manual Processing Loss?

Manual loss lets you override the default calculation with a custom value.

How It Works

When manual loss is enabled:

  • The system ignores automatic calculations.

  • It displays the value entered, regardless of input/output values.

  • Inputs appear as 100% lost unless offset manually or by proper work order setup.

How to Enable Manual Processing Loss

To enable manual processing loss in a Work Order:

  1. Open the Work Order.

  2. Click Edit in the top-right corner.

  3. Check the Manual Processing Loss box.

    • 📌 Note: Enabling this will reset the processing loss if there’s already any calculated loss on the Work Order.

  4. After enabling, you’ll be able to add your own custom processing loss by clicking the “+” icon next to Processing Losses.

This enables you to enter exactly what the loss should be, giving you greater control in cases where standard system calculations aren’t appropriate.

When to Use It

  • When system loss doesn’t reflect minor overages.

  • To account for packaging nuances or rounding gaps.

⚠️ Be Careful!

Manual loss can introduce inaccuracies if not set up correctly. Only use it when you fully understand the implications.
