Purpose

In the SKU Detail page, you can effortlessly edit and update a SKU. This feature allows users to customize a new SKU to fit their needs.

What can you do with it?

With the Edit SKU function, users can refine the details of a SKU, ensuring inventory products and vendor information are accurate and up-to-date. This capability allows users to maintain precise and actionable SKU records.

How is it done?

  1. Access SKU Detail

    • Go to the SKU Detail page from the Inventory module.

  2. Edit SKU Fields

    • SKU Name: Enter or modify the SKU name in the Text Field.

    • Inventory Products: Select applicable products using the Data Multi-Select feature. Choose the items that the SKU will represent.

    • Vendors: Pick the right vendors associated with your SKU from the Data Select dropdown.

  3. Archiving a SKU

    • Checkbox: If the SKU should no longer be used for new inventory items, enable the archived checkbox.

  4. Finalize Changes

    • Review your inputs and save to ensure all your updates are captured.

Important Considerations

  • Unique Identifiers: Make sure every SKU has a distinct name to avoid duplication.

  • Archiving: When archiving a SKU, note that it won't be available for future inventory items. Verify this decision with your team if necessary.

Best Practices

  • Consistent Names: Use a naming convention for SKUs to aid in searching and organizing.

  • Regular Updates: Periodically review and update SKU details to reflect current inventory and supplier information.

  • Team Coordination: Ensure relevant team members are informed about changes to SKU details to streamline operations.
