Purpose

On the Work Order Detail page, the Output of Product with SKU feature allows users to output inventory of a product with a defined SKU.

What can you do with it?

The Output of Product with SKU goal is to streamline inventory management by enabling users to efficiently output inventory with a specific SKU. This feature assures that inventory is properly organized, tracked, and updated based on current needs.

How is it done?

  1. Select SKU and Product Details

    • Choose the SKU and Product you wish to work with from the available options.

  2. Vendor and Destination

    • Pick a Vendor from the data select list.

    • Designate the Destination Location where the product will be delivered.

  3. Lot Tracking

    • Decide whether to Create a New Lot or Use an Existing Lot.

    • If creating a new lot, you may leave the New Lot Name field empty for an automatically generated name.

  4. Inventory Tracking

    • Choose to Create a New Inventory item or Use an Existing Inventory item.

    • Enter a New Inventory Name or let the system automatically generate one.

  5. Quantity and Measurement

    • Enter the desired Quantity using the numeric field.

    • Select the appropriate Inventory Unit associated with the product.

  6. Timing and Status

    • Utilize the Timestamp to record the action; can backdate to the Work Order’s open date.

    • Set the Status of the Inventory Item to reflect its current stage.

Important Considerations

  • Ensure the SKU and Product selections align correctly to avoid mismanagement of inventory.

  • Fields marked as New Lot Name and New Inventory Name can be left blank to auto-generate, reducing the input burden.

  • The Timestamp cannot predate the Work Order's open date, providing temporal accuracy.

Best Practices

  • Regularly update the status of inventory items to maintain accurate stock levels.

  • Utilize the auto-generate feature for lot and inventory names to improve speed and reduce human error.

  • Maintain consistent use of Inventory Units to ensure uniformity across inventory records.
