Purpose
The Work Order Detail page is where the magic happens. It allows users to output plants efficiently, so you maintain seamless inventory management within our Elevated Signals system.
What can you do with it?
With the Output of Plants, users can effectively control the distribution of plants, whether they are creating new plant records or managing existing ones. This functionality provides precision in managing plant output by allowing users to allocate plants into specific batches or lots with ease.
How is it done?
Follow these steps to ensure a smooth output process:
Select a Destination Batch:
Begin by choosing the batch to which the plants will be outputted. This ensures that plants are categorized correctly in their new location.
Lot Tracking:
While we currently don’t support using plants from specific lots, make sure to track batches as necessary.
Define the New Lot Name:
If you’re creating a new Plant Lot, you can enter a specific name in this text field. If left blank, the system will automatically generate a unique name for the lot.
Plant Output:
Decide the method for plant output. You can either create new plants or allocate plants already identified as inputs of the work order.
Set a Timestamp:
Choose a specific date and time for this action if needed. Remember, it cannot precede the Work Order Open Date & Time. If left empty, the system defaults to the current date and time.
Important Considerations
Batch Accuracy: Ensure the correct batch is selected to avoid misallocation of plants.
Timestamp Restrictions: The timestamp cannot be backdated before the Work Order began, safeguarding data accuracy.
Best Practices
Consistent Naming: Adopt a clear and consistent naming convention for new lots to streamline future referencing.
Regular Auditing: Regularly review plant outputs to catch and correct any potential misallocations, enhancing overall efficiency and reliability.
