With the New Sensor feature, you can manually incorporate a new sensor into your facility's network. This process ensures sensors are properly tracked, identified, and integrated, enhancing operational efficiency and data collection accuracy.
How is it done?
Access the Sensors List: Navigate to the Sensors List page to start adding your new sensor.
Enter Sensor Details:
Name: Provide a distinctive name for the sensor to serve as its unique identifier.
Capabilities: Select the functionalities from the available options that define the sensor’s role and potential uses.
Attachment and Location:
Attached To: Specify the equipment or area where the sensor is fixed to ensure data is accurately attributed.
Location: Choose the sensor's physical location from the available list for better organizational mapping.
Batch and Manufacturer:
Batch: Select the sensor's batch group for efficient inventory management.
Manufacturer: Identify the manufacturer (options: Monnit; Generic) to assist in asset management and support tracking.
Sensor Hub and Description:
Sensor Hub: Select the associated hub for effective connectivity.
Description: Add a brief summary detailing the sensor's purpose and configuration for the benefit of other users.
Important Considerations
Ensure each sensor name is unique to avoid confusion.
