Purpose

The Create Batch feature on the Cultivation Batch List page allows users to initiate a new batch for cultivation tracking and management.

What can you do with it?

Create Batch lets you set up a new cultivation batch from scratch. You can define key attributes like the batch name, location, cultivar, and type, providing a solid foundation for tracking your cultivation process from start to finish.

How is it done?

Follow these steps to create a new batch:

  1. Basic Info

    • Enter a unique Batch Name

    • Select the Location from the dropdown

    • Choose the Cultivar from the available options

  2. Batch Details

    • Pick the appropriate Batch Type

    • Add a detailed Description of the batch

  3. Timing

    • Set the Date/Time the batch was created (or leave blank for current time)

  4. Finalize

    • Review all entered information

    • Click "Create Batch" to save and initiate the new batch

Important Considerations

  • Batch Names must be unique for proper tracking

  • Selecting the correct Location and Cultivar is crucial for accurate record-keeping

  • The Description field is your chance to add any special notes or instructions

Best Practices

  • Use a consistent naming convention for Batch Names

  • Always double-check the selected Cultivar and Batch Type before creating

  • Utilize the Description field to note any unique aspects or goals for the batch

  • If backdating, ensure the Date/Time is accurate to maintain proper chronology
