Purpose

Inside the Bill of Material Detail page, you have the power to add/update Outputs to a Bill of Material, fine-tuning the specifics of your material requirements.

What can you do with it?

The Add/Update Outputs feature is designed to enhance your Bill of Material management by enabling you to easily add or update Outputs. This ensures that your bills are precisely tailored to meet your production needs.

How is it done?

Follow these steps to add or update Outputs:

  1. Bill of Material Selection

    • The system locks the data selection to the current Bill of Material you’re working with. Ensure you’ve selected the right Bill of Material for accurate output adjustments.

  2. Define the Destination & Type

    • Choose the Destination and determine the Type as either Plants or Inventory. This choice updates the form accordingly:

      • If Inventory is chosen, a field for Unit selection appears.

  3. Specify Product Details

    • Use the system to select from the available Inventory Products. This sets the Inventory Product as the output.

  4. Set Quantity

    • Enter the desired Quantity in the provided numeric field, accurately defining how much of the product you need.

  5. Select Unit

    • If Inventory is chosen as the type, choose the appropriate Unit from the options linked to your selected Inventory Product.

Important Considerations

  • Make sure the Type you select (Plants or Inventory) is suitable for your intended outputs. Choosing Inventory brings additional fields into play, requiring appropriate selections.

  • Be precise with Quantity and Unit to ensure consistent output results.

Best Practices

  • Regularly review and update your Bill of Material entries to align with current production requirements.

  • Verify all details before saving any updates to minimize adjustments later.

  • Familiarize yourself with the inventory elements to streamline the selection process.
