Purpose

In the Vendors List page, the Filter Vendors feature allows users to apply a filter to the Vendors list view. This function is essential for customizing how you view your vendor data, ensuring you can access only the information that’s most relevant to your needs.

What can you do with it?

The Filter Vendors function empowers users to tailor their view of the Vendors List. By selecting specific filters, you can create a focused list that highlights what you need to see. This helps in managing vendor relationships more efficiently by displaying vendors that meet certain criteria such as active status, internal usage, or vendor type.

How is it done?

  1. Access the Vendors List Page:

    • Navigate to the Vendors section in your inventory module.

  2. Select a Filter:

    • ACTIVE Vendors: Choose this to view only vendors that are currently active.

    • Internal Vendors: Filter to see vendors designated for internal purposes.

    • Customers: Include those vendors who also serve as customers.

  3. Show Archived Vendors:

    • Checkbox: Enable this to include vendors that have been archived in your list.

  4. Show Blocked Only:

    • Checkbox: Enable this option to filter the list to only show vendors with a blocking status.

  5. Apply Changes:

    • Save/Refresh: Once filters are set, apply the changes to view your tailored list.

Important Considerations

  • Understand Filters: Before applying, ensure you know what each filter entails to avoid missing critical vendor data.

  • Archived and Blocked Vendors: Remember that checking these options significantly alters your list view. Ensure it aligns with your review goals.

Best Practices

  • Regular Review: Periodically review vendor lists to ensure current data and relevance.

  • Combination Filters: Utilize a combination of filters to gain more precise insight.

  • Avoid Over-Filtering: Keep your selections intuitive to prevent oversight of necessary vendors.
