Purpose

Within the Form Schema page, the New Checkbox feature empowers you to seamlessly add a checkbox to your schema, enhancing your form's functionality and customizability.

What can you do with it?

The New Checkbox is designed to allow you to insert a simple yet effective checkbox into any form schema. By doing so, you can create a more interactive and user-friendly form experience, tailored to gather information precisely and reliably.

How is it done?

Follow these steps to integrate a New Checkbox into your form schema:

  1. Access Form Schema: Navigate to the Form Schema page in Elevated Signals.

  2. Initiate Checkbox Addition: Select the option to add a new element and choose Checkbox.

  3. Define the Checkbox:

    • Label: Enter a clear and concise label. This serves as the checkbox's identifier.

    • Description: Provide additional details to further explain the purpose of the checkbox.

    • Info Icon: Input supplementary information that appears when users hover over an icon next to the checkbox.

    • Conditionals: Use this to establish when the checkbox appears. Set rules based on values from other form elements to adapt the form dynamically.

  4. Set Options:

    • Text Field: For Label

    • Text Area: For Description and Info Icon

    • Data Select: For Conditionals

  5. Review and Save: Confirm all inputs to ensure accuracy and save changes to update the form schema.

Important Considerations

  • Consistency: Ensure checkbox labels and descriptions are consistent with the rest of the form to maintain user clarity.

  • Visibility Rules: Correctly set conditionals to prevent unintended display or omission of checkboxes, affecting data collection and user interaction.

Best Practices

  • Clear Labels: Use simple, unambiguous language for labels to maximize user understanding and minimize confusion.

  • Informative Details: Leverage the Info Icon feature to provide context-sensitive help, guiding users effectively.

  • Logical Conditionals: Thoughtfully craft conditionals to enhance form functionality, improving both the user experience and data accuracy.

Use these guidelines to make the most of the New Checkbox feature, creating forms that are both adaptive and user-friendly.
