Purpose

On the Form Schema page within the Quality module, the New Hyperlink feature allows you to add a new hyperlink to a form schema.

What can you do with it?

The New Hyperlink feature enables you to enrich your forms by integrating external links directly into them. This functionality empowers users to provide instant access to relevant online content or internal resources, enhancing the form's utility and interactivity.

How is it done?

  1. Access the Form Schema:

    • Navigate to the Form Schema section within the Quality module.

  2. Add a New Hyperlink:

    • Click on the option to add a New Hyperlink.

  3. Input Details:

    • Label: Enter a descriptive label. This serves as the hyperlink's title and user reference.

    • Link: Provide the full URL that the hyperlink will point to. Ensure it is an accurate and complete web address.

    • Description: In the text area, add any necessary details about what the hyperlink leads to.

    • Info Icon: Write supplementary information for the hyperlink in an additional text area, if required.

  4. Set Conditionals:

    • Utilize the Data Select of Conditionals to determine the display conditions for your hyperlink. This customization affects when and how the hyperlink widget is presented, based on values from another widget inside the form schema.

  5. Finalize:

    • Review all inputs and confirm to apply the hyperlink to the form.

Important Considerations

  • Accuracy: Double-check the URL entered in the Link field to prevent broken links.

  • Relevance: Ensure that the hyperlink content closely aligns with the form's objective for maximum utility.

  • Conditionals: Carefully configure conditionals to ensure the hyperlink appears correctly under the desired circumstances.

Best Practices

  • Clarity: Use clear and descriptive labels and descriptions so users know exactly where the hyperlink will take them.

  • Testing: Prior to publishing the form, test all hyperlinks to verify that they work as intended.

  • User Guidance: Consider adding instructions or context around the hyperlink to guide users effectively.
