Purpose

On the Cultivation Batch Detail page, users can propagate plants within the current batch. This feature allows for the creation of new plants through clone propagation, with a Work Order automatically generated to record the process.

What can you do with it?

With the Propagate Plants feature, you can:

  • Create new plants from existing ones in the current batch

  • Record the clone propagation process through a Work Order

  • Choose to propagate into a new batch or an existing one

  • Specify details such as number of cuttings, growth stage, and destination

How is it done?

  1. Select Work Order Type

    • Choose from options set in Facility Settings

  2. Choose Mother Plants

    • Use specific mother plant IDs or select number of mother plants

  3. Specify Destination

    • Select to propagate into a new batch or existing batch

    • For new batch: Fill in batch details (name, description, location, cultivar, type)

    • For existing batch: Choose from active batches

  4. Set Propagation Details

    • Number of cuttings

    • Growth stage

    • Propagation date/time

  5. Add Additional Information

    • Work Order description

    • Equipment used

    • Records to be associated

  6. Review and Confirm

    • Double-check all entered information

    • Submit the propagation request

Important Considerations

  • Leaving the batch name empty will auto-apply the Batch ID as the name

  • The parent batch's cultivar is auto-filled for new destination batches

  • Backdating is possible, but leaving the date/time empty will use the current date and time

Best Practices

  • Always double-check mother plant selections to ensure you're using the intended plants

  • Provide clear, detailed descriptions in the Work Order for future reference

  • Regularly update and maintain equipment and records lists for accurate tracking

  • Use specific mother plant IDs when precision is crucial for tracking lineage
