Purpose

The Print Labels feature in the Cultivation Batch Detail page allows users to create and print labels for batches and related elements, streamlining your cultivation tracking process.

What can you do with it?

With Print Labels, you can:

  • Generate labels for batches, plants, locations, work orders, destruction lots, and inventory lots

  • Choose from various print options to customize your label output

  • Select specific items or print labels in bulk

  • Use barcodes for quick scanning and tracking

How is it done?

  1. Select Label Type

    • Choose what you want to print labels for (Batch, Plant, Location, Work Order, Destruction Lot, Inventory Lot, or Inventory)

  2. Choose Print Options

    • Pick from options like:

      • Print Label for Batch

      • Print Labels for all Plants in Batch

      • Print Labels for some Plants in Batch

      • Print Labels for all Lots in Batch

      • Print Labels for some Lots in Batch

  3. Set Batch and Plant Details

    • Select the Batch for the print job

    • If applicable, choose specific Plant IDs

  4. Configure Barcode Settings

    • Select Barcode Type (Batch or Plant)

      • Batch: Barcode will link to the Batch when scanned

      • Plant: Barcode will link to the Plant when scanned

  5. Choose Printer Settings

    • Select the Printer for the job

    • Pick a Printer Job Template that matches your label needs

  6. Review and Print

    • Double-check your selections

    • Hit the print button to generate your labels

Important Considerations

  • Ensure your printer is properly connected and has enough label stock before starting a large print job

  • Double-check your selections, especially when printing in bulk, to avoid wasting labels

  • Keep your printer templates up-to-date for consistent and accurate labeling

Best Practices

  • Regularly update your plant and batch information to ensure accurate labeling

  • Use descriptive naming conventions for your batches and plants to make identification easier

  • Perform test prints on regular paper before using label stock to verify layout and information

  • Establish a consistent labeling system across your cultivation process for better tracking and inventory management
