Purpose
On the Production Batch Detail page, the Print Labels functionality allows users to print labels for a Batch and its related elements.
What can you do with it?
With Print Labels, you can seamlessly generate labels for a selected Batch and its associated components, such as Plants and Lots. This is crucial for ensuring accurate product identification and traceability across operations.
How is it done?
Follow these steps to print labels effectively:
Select the Print Label for Option:
Choose whether to print labels for the entire Batch, specific Plants, or Lots within the Batch. Options include:
Batch
Plants (all or some)
Lots (all or some)
Set the Batch and Plant Details:
Utilize the Batch selection to identify the specific batch you are working with.
If needed, specify the Batch Plant IDs for targeted printing.
Choose Your Barcode Type:
Decide if the barcode should link directly to the Batch or to individual Plants. This influences how the barcode is interpreted upon scanning.
Configure the Printer Settings:
Select a Printer from the available options suitable for your task.
Set the Printer Job Template to guide the printing process.
Finalize Your Batch Print Options:
Choose from options that suit your labelling needs, such as printing for all related components or specific selections.
Important Considerations
Ensure the Batch and Plant IDs are accurately set to prevent mislabeling.
Verify the Printer and Template selections to ensure compatibility and print quality.
The Barcode Type choice determines how the scanned data links back to your system.
Best Practices
Double-check selections before printing to avoid errors.
Regularly update and maintain your list of active printers and templates for optimal performance.
Consider starting with a small test print to ascertain correct configurations before bulk labeling.
