Purpose
The Work Order Detail page empowers you to manage inputs effectively by allowing you to add Inventory as input to a work order.
What can you do with it?
With the Add Inventory Input feature, you can ensure efficient resource management within your work orders. This tool allows you to add Inventory as Input to a work order, optimizing inventory tracking and facilitating smoother production workflow.
How is it done?
Follow these organized steps to master adding inventory inputs to your work orders:
Product Selection
Choose the Product you wish to add from a data-select menu of available inventory products.
Source Identification
Specify the Source Batch from which inventory will be drawn.
If inventory exists, enable Choose Source Lot to refine your selection by adding the “Source Lot” field.
Inventory Selection
Check the box for Choose Source Inventory to activate inventory-specific selection.
Use the Inventory ID field to pinpoint exact inventory items if inventory is accessible in the selected inventories.
Inventory Utilization
Enable Use Remaining Inventory to consume all available inventory within previously chosen Batch, Lot, and Inventory.
Enter the Quantity to specify how much inventory will be used. Ensure this does not exceed the Amount Available.
Select the appropriate Inventory Unit that corresponds with your chosen Inventory Product.
Verification and Timing
Verify the Amount Available displayed, which updates dynamically based on your selections.
Utilize the Timestamp to set the date and time of the input. Remember, this cannot precede the Work Order’s open date and time unless necessary adjustments are made.
Important Considerations
Verify that the Quantity does not exceed the Amount Available, as this could lead to errors or workflow disruptions.
Ensure the Timestamp respects the chronological integrity of your work order processes.
Confirm selections at each step to prevent inaccurate inventory allocations.
Best Practices
Regularly update inventory records to maintain accurate data for seamless operations.
Cross-check your selections against batch and lot details to assure compatibility.
Utilize available data-select options to prevent manual entry errors and streamline the input process.
