What can you do with it?
With the New Status feature, you can define specific statuses that reflect your operation's unique workflow needs. This tool allows users to seamlessly introduce new statuses, ensuring their processes are accurately represented and managed.
How is it done?
Navigate to the Statuses List Page
Access the Statuses List from the Quality module to manage your statuses.
Create a New Status
Click on the New Status button to initiate the creation process.
Enter Status Details
In the Name field, input a clear and descriptive name for your status.
Select a Status Type that best fits the context of your operation:
Batch
Inventory
Lot
Purchase Order
Vendor
Work Order
Record
Define Blocking Status
Use the Is Blocking checkbox to determine if this status should halt progress until resolved. This is crucial for managing workflows that depend on condition completions.
Review and Save
Double-check all entered details for accuracy.
Click Save to apply the new status and update the Statuses List.
Important Considerations
Ensure the Name is distinctive to avoid confusion with existing statuses.
Choosing the correct Status Type reflects where the status will be applicable and impacts operational efficiency.
