Purpose
On the Form Schema page, the New Section Header functionality allows users to add a new section header to a form schema, creating a structured and coherent layout for forms.
What can you do with it?
The New Section Header is a key tool for structuring your forms. This feature allows users to add new section headers, defining distinct subsections within a form schema. This organization aids in providing clear identifiers for each part of the form, enhancing readability and context for end-users.
How is it done?
Navigate to the Form Schema Page:
Locate and open the Form Schema page where you wish to add a new section.
Select 'Add New Section Header':
Click on the option to add a new section header. This will initiate the creation of a new subsection in your form.
Enter Sub Section Title:
In the Text Field, input the title for your new subsection. This title serves as the identifier.
Add Info Icon:
Use the Text Area to provide additional information that will be displayed as an info icon. This helps improve user understanding and context.
Provide Sub Section Description:
In another Text Area, input a detailed description of the subsection. This enhances clarity regarding the subsection's purpose and content.
Set Conditionals:
Use the Data Select of Conditionals to determine when this section header is visible. The conditions are based on values from other widgets within the same form schema. This customization can significantly impact workflow design and user experience.
Important Considerations
Ensure that titles and descriptions are clear and concise to minimize confusion.
Info icons should provide valuable insights that are easily digestible for users.
When setting conditionals, anticipate how the form might appear under different scenarios to prevent any misunderstanding or redundancy.
Best Practices
Regularly review and update section headers to maintain consistency and relevance as content evolves.
Utilize conditionals sparingly to avoid overcomplicating the form workflow.
Solicit feedback from end-users to continually refine and improve the clarity and usability of form schemas.
