How to Add Consumable Inventory in Elevated Signals

In ES, you can add consumable inventory to track non-cannabis materials used in your processes. This guide outlines how to create and receive consumable inventory into your system.

Step 1: Create a Consumable Inventory Product

To add a new consumable product, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Inventory Products:

    • Go to the Inventory Products section in Elevated Signals.

    • Click Create New Product.

  2. Enter Product Details:

    • Provide a Name for the consumable.

    • Choose an appropriate Category (e.g., Packaging, Equipment, Other).

    • Set any custom fields needed for tracking.

  3. Save the Product:

    • Click Save to create the inventory product.

Step 2: Receiving Consumable Inventory

You can receive consumable inventory using one of the following methods:

Option 1: Receive via Purchase Order (Recommended for Ordered Goods)

If the consumable was purchased from a vendor:

  1. Create a Purchase Order (PO):

    • Navigate to Purchase Orders and create a new PO.

    • Select the vendor and add the consumable product to the order.

  2. Receive the Inventory:

    • Once the consumable arrives, mark the PO as received.

    • The inventory will be added automatically.

Option 2: Receive via Inventory Reconciliation Work Order (For Manual Adjustments)

If the consumable is manually added to the inventory:

  1. Create an Inventory Reconciliation Work Order:

    • Navigate to Work Orders β†’ Create New Work Order.

    • Choose Reconciliation as the Work Order Type.

  2. Adjust the Inventory Quantity:

    • Start a Work Order Output and select the consumable product.

    • Enter the correct quantity and confirm the update.

  3. Complete the Work Order:

    • Submit and close the Work Order to finalize the changes.
