Overview
When a Batch changes rooms or zones, you’ll want your records to reflect that. The Move Batch action helps you stay audit-ready and keeps your facility map clean and accurate.
Before You Start
You’ll need permission to move Batches. Admin and Member roles have this by default.
Make sure the Batch is Active — you can’t move closed or destroyed Batches.
(Optional) Know where the Batch is headed and whether you want to attach any Equipment or Records to this move.
Step 1: Open the Move Batch Form
Let’s get that Batch moving!
Go to the Batch Detail page for the Batch you want to move.
Click Batch Actions from the top menu.
Select Move Batch from the dropdown.
Step 2: Fill Out the Move Details
Tell us where the Batch is going.
Pick the Destination Location from the dropdown — that’s your Batch’s new home.
(Optional) Select the Date batch moved to record a past move.
(Optional) Add any Equipment used or Records you want to log.
Hit Move Batch to save.
🎉 All set! Your Batch is now listed under its new location.
✅ Pro Tip: Use the calendar icon next to the date field to backdate moves when needed.
🗒️ Note: If the Batch is closed or destroyed, the Move option won’t appear.
