Overview

Keeping your plant batches updated with the right growth stage isn’t just about data hygiene—it’s how your team knows how to treat the plants. Each stage comes with its own SOPs for lighting, feeding, and care. Advancing the growth stage ensures your plants get what they need, when they need it—and keeps your compliance records airtight.

Before You Start

  • You’ll need permission to advance growth stages (Admins and Members have this by default).

  • Make sure you know your facility’s growth stage names and order—it helps avoid mix-ups.

  • (Optional) Need a refresher? Check your facility’s SOPs or growth stage chart.

Step 1: Find Your Batch

Let’s get those plants growing up!

  1. Head to the Batch Detail page for the batch you’re working with.

  2. Click Batch Actions in the top right.

  3. Select Advance Growth Stage from the dropdown.

Pro Tip: Use the search bar or filters to speed up batch-hunting.

Step 2: Advance the Stage

Time to let the system know these plants are ready for their next chapter.

  1. Choose the new stage from the Select Growth Stage dropdown.

  2. (Optional) Adjust the Date growth stage changed if this happened earlier.

  3. Click Advance Growth Stage to lock it in.

🗒️ Note: You’ll see all growth stages in the list. Double-check before submitting—once it’s done, it’s part of your records.

Pro Tip: This step also creates a Work Order, so you can add notes, equipment, or even attach records if needed.

Troubleshooting

  • Problem: Can't advance the growth stage.

    • Fix: Check if any previous actions (like a Batch Move or Propagation) would conflict. You can’t squeeze this step between others that change inventory or accounting.

  • Problem: Picked the wrong stage.

    • Fix: Go to the batch, open the latest closed Advance Growth Stage Work Order, and choose Undo Work Order from the Work Order Actions menu.
