Purpose

On the Production Batch Detail page, the Generate PDF feature allows users to generate a Batch PDF.

What can you do with it?

The Generate PDF feature is designed to help you create a detailed PDF of your production batch records. This functionality supports clarity by consolidating critical production data into one document, which is essential for effective record-keeping and communication.

How is it done?

  1. Access the Production Batch Detail Page: Navigate to the page where your batch details are displayed.

  2. Select PDF Generation Options:

    • Click on the Generate PDF button.

    • Choose from the following options to customize your PDF:

      • With Quality Records: Tick this checkbox to include quality records in your Batch PDF.

      • With Running Totals: Select this checkbox to add running totals for better overview.

      • With Parent History: Check this option to add parent batch history.

      • With Custom Fields: Opt in to include any custom fields defined for your production batch.

      • With Available Inventory: Include current inventory details relevant to the batch.

  3. Email the PDF (Optional):

    • If you wish to receive the PDF directly to your email, select the Email PDF checkbox. This is ideal for larger documents where direct download could be cumbersome.

  4. Generate and Download: Once your options are set, click the button to generate and download your customized Batch PDF.

Important Considerations

  • Ensure all necessary checkboxes are accurately selected before generating your PDF to avoid rework.

  • The Email PDF option is useful for large documents – consider using it when file size might impact direct download.

Best Practices

  • Regularly review and understand the information needed in your PDF to choose relevant options effectively.

  • Use the Email PDF feature if you anticipate needing to share the document quickly across teams.

  • Prioritize clear organization of batch information by consistently using the same PDF settings for similar batches. This helps in maintaining uniformity and reliability in documentation.
