Purpose
In the Production Batch Detail page, the Move Batch function lets you effortlessly transition a batch from one location to another. This action ensures that a Work Order records the move, providing transparency and accuracy in your production records.
What can you do with it?
With the Move Batch feature, you can:
Efficiently transfer a batch to a different location.
Automatically generate a Work Order to maintain an audit trail of the move. This ensures your team can track where each batch is at any given time, streamlining your inventory control and production workflow.
How is it done?
Follow these steps to move a batch:
Select the Destination Location:
Use the Data Select of Locations to choose the new location for the batch.
Input the Date of Move:
Enter the exact Date batch moved. If you leave this blank, it defaults to the current date and time.
Identify the Equipment:
Use Data Select of Equipments to add any equipment involved in the batch move, if applicable. This will be reflected in the Work Order.
Add Related Records:
Include any significant Records pertaining to the move using Data Select of Records. This enhances documentation for future reference.
Submit and Confirm:
After completing all fields, ensure accuracy before submitting to finalize the move.
Important Considerations
Ensure that destination locations are correctly selected to prevent misplacement of batches.
Consistently update the Date of Move to maintain accurate history.
Use the equipment selection to provide a full scope of resources utilized, enhancing traceability.
Thoroughly check all details before submission to prevent discrepancies in records.
Best Practices
Regularly review and validate locations within the system to ensure they are up-to-date.
Schedule periodic training sessions for users to keep them familiar with the Move Batch process.
Maintain open communication with team members involved in the batch move to avoid miscommunication.
Use the generated Work Orders to review and improve operational efficiencies.
