Purpose
On the Destruction Lot Detail page, you can easily close a Destruction Lot. This action allows users to efficiently manage and finalize the destruction process.
What can you do with it?
The primary goal of the Close Destruction Lot feature is to finalize and confirm that all destruction activities within a Destruction Lot have been fully completed. This action reaffirms that every single Destruction Event associated with the lot has officially been processed and acknowledged.
How is it done?
Navigate to the Destruction Lot Detail Page:
Access the Destruction Lot for which you want to close.
Select the Close Destruction Lot Option:
Look for the Close Destruction Lot button on the page.
Enter Destruction Date:
Use the Date Select option to choose the destruction date.
If you leave this field empty, the system will automatically set it to the current date and time.
Make sure the selected date/time is after the date/time of all respective Destruction Events.
Confirm the Closure:
After entering the necessary information, confirm the action by clicking the Close Destruction Lot button.
Important Considerations
Backdating Accuracy: Ensure any backdated information aligns accurately with the timeline of your Destruction Events to maintain compliance and accuracy.
Confirmation of Destruction: Closing a Destruction Lot indicates completion of all associated events. Double-check to ensure everything is finalized as expected.
Best Practices
Review Before Closing: Always verify that all Destruction Events are accurately recorded and completed before closing a lot.
Document Decisions: Keep a record of the decision-making process, including reasons for backdating, to streamline future audits.
Monitor Dates: Regularly check dates and timestamps for consistency, especially when backdating, to avoid discrepancies.
