Purpose
The Destruction Lot Detail page enables you to perform a strategic task: create a Destruction Event of Inventory with a Batch. This function allows users to log the destruction of inventory items, connecting them with specific batches, and ultimately creating a Destruction Event within the Destruction Lot.
What can you do with it?
With the Destruction Event of Inventory with a Batch, you can efficiently manage and trace the destruction of specific inventory items tied to particular batches. This essential feature helps maintain accurate records and inventory levels by allowing users to create a Destruction Event that seamlessly integrates into the Destruction Lot.
How is it done?
Choose Your Destruction Lot
Data Select: Open the Destruction Lot you want the event associated with. If creating a new event, set the current Destruction Lot.
Select Inventory Details
Product Selection: Choose the Inventory Product for the event.
Batch Assignment: Assign the relevant Batch to the event.
Lot Selection: Identify the Lot involved in the destruction process.
Specify Inventory Items
Inventory Item Selection: Use Multi-Select to choose active inventory items from the selected Lot.
Configure Destruction Details
Use Remaining Inventory: Check the box if you wish to consume all remaining inventory in the selected Lot.
Set Quantity: Enter the amount you intend to destroy. Use the Numeric Field.
Select Inventory Unit: Define the unit of measurement for the specified quantity.
Confirm Amount Available: The system automatically updates available amounts based on your selections of Batch, Lot, and Inventory.
Finalize the Event
Destruction Reason: Specify why the destruction is occurring with a pre-set list.
Add Description: Provide comments or a detailed description of the event.
Timestamp: If needed, backdate the action. Remember, the date can't predate the Destruction Lot Open Date & Time.
Important Considerations
Accuracy: Double-check batch and inventory selections to prevent data inconsistencies.
Timestamp Restrictions: Timing is crucial. Events can't be backdated before the Destruction Lot's opening.
