Purpose
Within the Destruction Lot Detail page, users can initiate a Destruction Event by Location. This feature generates a detailed event within an existing Destruction Lot, providing a streamlined process for inventory management.
What can you do with it?
The Destruction Event By Location function is designed to help users efficiently manage and document destruction events tied to specific locations. By using this function, users can generate a comprehensive Destruction Event within a given Destruction Lot, ensuring all actions and inventory items are accurately traced and logged.
How is it done?
Select Your Destruction Lot
Choose from the data selection of Open Destruction Lots.
Ensure it's set to the current Destruction Lot for accurate event association.
Specify Inventory Details
Select the Product you intend to destroy using the data selection of available inventory products.
Identify the Location where the destruction will occur.
Confirm Inventory Status
Check the Inventory Exists in System: This is by default disabled for cultivation-related destruction. Enable only if inventory is physical and available.
Define Inventory Parameters
Optionally, specify the Destroy From Lot.
Select Inventory Items from available active lots for the event.
Opt to Use Remaining Inventory if all inventory in the chosen location should be destroyed.
Input Destruction Details
Enter the Quantity of items to be destroyed using the numeric field.
Specify Inventory Unit linked to the chosen product.
Monitor the Amount Available which updates based on selections made.
Record Event Specifics
Choose a Destruction Reason from data selections to ensure clarity in documentation.
Provide a detailed Description for the event.
Set a Timestamp for the action; note that it defaults to current date/time unless specified otherwise.
Important Considerations
Ensure that the Inventory Exists in System checkbox remains unchecked for cultivation byproducts.
Be mindful of the Timestamp. It cannot precede the Destruction Lot's opening date & time.
Always verify that the correct inventory and location are selected to prevent incorrect data entries.
Best Practices
Regularly update your list of Destruction Reasons to cover all possible scenarios.
Use the Description field to add comprehensive details that aid in future audits or investigations.
Double-check all entries prior to submission to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal protocols.
