Purpose
The Destruction Lot Detail page is a dedicated space where you can efficiently manage the task of generating a Destruction Event by Inventory Item within an existing Destruction Lot. This functionality is designed to allow users to specify and log inventory items intended for destruction.
What can you do with it?
With the Destruction Event by Inventory ID, you can seamlessly organize and track the disposal of inventory. This feature empowers you to create a targeted destruction event by detailing inventory items, thus ensuring precise and documented removal within the Destruction Lot.
How is it done?
Select a Destruction Lot:
Choose an Open Destruction Lot using the data selector. This sets the stage for creating your Destruction Event.
Identify Inventory Items:
Utilize the data multi-select feature to pick active inventory items linked to the chosen lot. These items are the focus of your destruction event.
Decide on Inventory Usage:
If you wish to handle the entire remaining inventory of these items, enable the Use Remaining Inventory checkbox.
Specify Quantity:
Enter the numeric quantity you intend to destroy. Ensure this correlates with your available stock.
Select Inventory Unit:
Choose the appropriate Inventory Unit from the list offered for your inventory product.
Provide a Destruction Reason:
Indicate the reason for destruction using the provided data selector, to maintain transparency and compliance.
Add Description and Timestamp:
Enhance the event record with a relevant Description in the text area. Set the Timestamp for the event, which defaults to the current date and time if left unchanged.
Important Considerations
Use the Destruction Lot Open Date: Ensure the timestamp is not backdated prior to the lot's open date to maintain accurate records.
Inventory Accuracy: Double-check inventory details, such as quantity and unit, to avoid discrepancies.
Best Practices
Clear Documentation: Always provide a comprehensive description and valid reason for destruction to ensure accountability.
Update Regularly: Regularly check and update your inventory status and destruction reasons to streamline your destruction processes.
Review Before Finalizing: Prior to submitting, review all inputs for errors to avoid processing mistakes.
